Vicente Rodrigues, Chairman of the Board of Directors, is a Retired Full Professor at ISCTE, member of the Scientific Council of the Marketing Futurecast Lab, and Co-Director of the Executive Master in Marketing Management (ISCTE). He was President of the ISCTE Alumni Club, President of GIEM ISCTE, of Lisboa Ginásio Clube, and of the Portuguese Association of Marketing Professionals, manager at CTT, Grupo Nabeiro, and Infortec/Tack International. Co-author of 18 books in the Management area, including Mercator in the Digital Era, Humanator-Human Resources and Business Success,Publicitor 360º, and Marketing Trends. Corporate consultant and lecturer.

Luís Andrade, Board Member, Civil Engineer. Began his career in 1976 as a civil engineer at the Ministry of Education, involved in the management and supervision of construction works in school buildings at various educational levels. Worked in civil construction companies linked to project management and coordination. Director of the Southern Regional Directorate of Posts, Commercial Director of Lisbon Posts, Director of Philately—serving in that role as a member and president of the World Association for the Development of Philately—Director of the CTT National Service Network (own network and third-party network), Director of Communications at CTT, and Board Member and President of the Portuguese Communications Foundation
Isabel Azevedo, Board Member, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and an MBA. She began her career as a consultant in organization and management in 1989 at Coopers & Lybrand (now Price Waterhouse Coopers). She coordinated projects with strategic and organizational impact in large and medium-sized companies across various sectors, from industry to services. Currently, she combines consulting and coaching experience to support leaders and teams in their personal and business change processes. More recently, she co-founded nobox with two doctors, a project for healthcare professionals aimed at achieving happier teams focused on the patient. She collaborates with Católica Lisbon | Executive Education in executive programs, teaching topics such as Teamwork, Leadership, and Creativity.

Francisco Velez Roxo, Board Member, has been a business manager since 1978, with professional experience in both for-profit and non-profit organizations. University lecturer since 1977 at management schools including ISCTE, ISEG, and UCP, covering topics such as strategy, marketing, industrial operations, and services. Special emphasis in the last 10 years on the management of health and social organizations.

Agostinho Pereira de Miranda is a lawyer, university professor, philanthropist, and amateur fado singer. Founding Partner and President of the General Assembly of the law firm Miranda & Associados. Taught as a guest professor at law schools of the University of Lisbon, ISCTE, Catholic University of Portugal, Eduardo Mondlane University (Mozambique), and Agostinho Neto University (Angola). President and main funder of the associations ‘ProPública’, ‘Salvar Sintra’, and ‘Amigos dos Escuteiros de Sintra’. Sings, studies, and writes fado lyrics, having recorded the CD Fado de Lei in 2019. Writes in the general press on legal and sociological topics, and is the author of two books and dozens of scientific articles on law. Passionate cyclist, currently cycling around Portugal.
António Campos was born and lived in Brejão until age 17, joined the Air Force as a volunteer in 1972, and retired from the Portuguese Air Force as Sergeant Major after 40 years of service. Served at various Air Bases, including BA12 in Bissalanca, Guinea-Bissau. Spent 3 years at the Portuguese Embassy in Madrid in the Military Attaché’s Office; 3 years at NATO in Oeiras; 5 years at the National Security Authority; 10 years at the Joint Chiefs of Staff, where he ended his career, going into reserve and returning to his roots—Brejão. Currently engages in social activities as President of the Brejão Cultural Center, President of the Fiscal Council of the S. Teotónio Elderly Home, and member of the General Council of the Amália Rodrigues Foundation.
Carlos Coelho is one of Portugal’s leading references in brand building and management. Over 34 years of career, led hundreds of projects for major Portuguese brands like Multibanco, Galp, RTP, CTT, TAP, Sata, Sonae, Delta, Fidelidade, Sogrape, The Navigator Company, Portugal Sou Eu, among many others. Author of various studies on brand trends and theoretical models. Activist for Portuguese causes and brands, author of the book Portugal Genial. Professor, lecturer, and collaborator in numerous national and international publications. Advisor to various institutions; president of Ivity Brand Corp and the Portugal Genial Association, promoting the best of Portugal.
Francisco Leiria Viegas attended Journalism at the Higher School of Media and Communication. Holds a degree in Economics and Sociology from Universidade Nova de Lisboa and a Marketing Management course from MCE, Brussels. Professional activity: Secondary school teacher, Director of Posts for Philately, Commercial, and International Relations areas, General Director and President of the Executive Board of the Posts, President of the Portuguese Communications Foundation, and Board Member and Consultant for various companies.
Frederico Santiago is a lyric singer trained at the National Conservatory of Music and member of the Choir of the National Theater of São Carlos in Lisbon. Also a researcher, responsible for the complete edition of Amália Rodrigues’ discography, a key work in preserving and disseminating her artistic legacy. In 2019, coordinated the re-edition of Maria Teresa de Noronha’s work.
Jorge Chaminé is a Portuguese baritone and pedagogue, recognized for his career as a lyric singer and work as an educator and cultural promoter. Founder of the European Music Center (CEM), an institution based in France dedicated to music education, research, and cultural exchange in Europe. Since 2012, professor and tutor at Stanford University; member of the Board of Directors of the Yehudi Menuhin International Foundation since 2015 and of the Council of Europe Nostra since 2019. Among his distinctions: Officier of the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the French government (2018), Medal “Grand Vermeil” from the city of Paris (2019), and the European Helena Vaz da Silva Prize for Cultural Heritage Dissemination.
Jorge Fernando is a Portuguese musician and producer. Accompanied Amália on guitar in performances, replacing Alcino Frazão. Has released several albums, with Memória e Fado (2005), recorded in Portugal and Brazil, standing out, containing an excerpt from a live Amália Rodrigues performance recorded in 1994 with the theme “Vida”. Also participated in the 1985 RTP Song Festival with “Umbadá”.
José Manuel dos Santos is a writer, curator, programmer, and cultural manager. Board Member and Cultural Director of the EDP Foundation; director of Electra magazine; board member of the Arpad Szenes-Vieira da Silva Foundation; director of the Lisbon Architecture Triennale; member of the Board of Curators of the National Museum of Ancient Art. From 1986 to 2006, cultural advisor to the Presidency of the Republic. Author of poetry, fiction, and essays on literary, artistic, and political themes. Curator of several visual arts exhibitions.
José Manuel Rodrigues, only son of Amália’s brother Filipe Rebordão (boxer), is one of Amália’s heirs. Programmer and worked for 14 years at Petrogal.
Luís Osório is a writer and journalist with eleven published books, the most recent A Última Lição de Manuel Sobrinho Simões (Contraponto, 2024). Daily columnist on Antena 1 with Postal do Dia. From the book Ficheiros Secretos – Histórias Nunca Contadas da Política e da Sociedade Portuguesas, adapted into a successful one-man show, toured the country, selling out iconic venues like Teatro Tivoli in Lisbon and Casa da Música in Porto.
Maria da Conceição Martins de Carvalho, degree in Social Work (ISSSP), Complementary Course in Cultural Anthropology (ICSP), and Arts Management Course (INA). 38-year career in Public Administration and 20 years in Theater Production. Since March 2021, Board Member of APOIARTE/Casa do Artista.
Maria de Lourdes de Carvalho, announcer, radio and record producer; co-founder of record labels and director of others; journalist in various entertainment magazines. In 2013, published her second book of fado verses Meu Peito Rasgado a Fogo, and in 2016, Tonicha’s photobiography Tonicha. A eterna Menina. Served 16 years on the Board of Apoiarte-Casa do Artista; part of SPA’s Fiscal Council and 17 years as Counselor of the Amália Rodrigues Foundation. Responsible for the Amália Rodrigues Awards Galas in 2013 and 2014.
Paula Cristina Cunha is Board Member of the Portuguese Society of Authors, with 18 years of management experience in Portuguese Public Administration. Executive Coordinator of “Estratégia Regional Lisboa 2020” and responsible for other regional strategic programs. Researcher at the University of Lisbon.
Pedro Antunes de Almeida holds a degree in Economics and Sociology from Universidade Nova de Lisboa and postgraduate in European Economic Studies from Catholic University of Portugal. Attended the National Defense Auditors Course at the National Defense Institute. Currently President of the Board of NAU HOTELS & RESORTS Group, President of the Fiscal Council of Fidelidade, and Board Member of the Fiscal Council of Galp Energia, SGPS. Former Economic and Business Advisor to H.E. President Aníbal Cavaco Silva, Secretary of State for Tourism (XV Government), Ambassador to the World Tourism Organization (2003-06), President of Pousadas de Portugal (1992-97), and President of ICEP (1989-92). Awarded Commander of the Order of Commercial Merit (1995), Tourism Merit Medal (1997), and Commander of the Order of Prince Henry the Navigator (2016).
Sara Pereira holds a PhD in Art, Heritage, and Restoration with the thesis Ecos do Silêncio, para um Estudo Iconológico do Fado (19th-21st centuries) from the Faculty of Letters, University of Lisbon. Director of the Fado Museum, led since 2005 the executive coordination of Fado’s candidacy to UNESCO’s Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage, also on the scientific commission (with Rui Vieira Nery and Salwa Castelo-Branco). PhD course in Knowledge Modes in Contemporary Artistic Practice (University of Vigo, 2004-2006), postgraduate in Regional and Local History – Cultural Management (Faculty of Letters, ULisboa, 1997), degree in History, Art History variant (FLUL, 1996). Research areas: Art History, Contemporary Artistic Practices, Cultural Heritage, Museology, Cultural Management. Member of the Advisory Board of the National Sound Archive and board member of APOM – Portuguese Museology Association. Received Lisbon City Hall Cultural Merit Medal (2012) and Commander of the Order of Prince Henry the Navigator by the Presidency (2015).
Rui Órfão, artist and performer, studied Civil Engineering at the University of Coimbra, member of the Círculo de Artes Plásticas and programmer at CITAC. Degree in Architecture from FAUTL. Practices as an architect in his own firm. Awarded in 2003 for Energy Efficiency with Alto do Faia School and Kindergarten, and Korrodi Prizes in 2010 and 2012 Biennials for the requalification of Palácio Guerra and Casa do Terreiro in Leiria. Consultant at the Portuguese Communications Foundation. Represented in the art collections of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.
Rui Vieira Nery is a musicologist, historian, and university professor. Since 2012, directs the Portuguese Language and Culture Program of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. Author of extensive bibliography on Portuguese music history. PhD in Musicology from the University of Texas; held positions including Secretary of State for Culture in the late 90s. In 2009, president of the Scientific Commission for Fado’s UNESCO candidacy.
