The Amália Rodrigues Foundation collaborates with RTP on the program “Em Casa d’Amália”, which brings back to the public the intimate and welcoming atmosphere of the gatherings Amália held in her home. The first two seasons were recorded at the Casa-Museu and its garden, where the artist’s presence is still felt; subsequent ones took place in a studio, carefully recreating her living room. One episode was also filmed at Herdade Amália in Brejão, evoking the retreat where the artist found peace. This partnership keeps alive the sharing of fado, Portuguese music, and the culture that Amália always knew how to gather around her

Amálias 100 is a unique wine that honors the life and work of Amália Rodrigues, directly contributing to the preservation of her legacy. The proceeds from this initiative funded restoration work on the 3rd floor of the Casa-Museu and ensured proper conservation conditions for the collection, including 70 stage costumes that marked Amália’s career. Amálias 100 was born from the hands and hearts of seven Portuguese female producers who transform wine into their own fado: Rita Nabeiro (Adega Mayor), Francisca Van Zeller (Van Zellers & Co), Maria Manuel Maia (Poças), Luísa Amorim (Quinta Nova de Nossa Senhora do Carmo), Rita Pinto (Quinta do Pinto), Mafalda Guedes (Sogrape), and Catarina Vieira (Herdade do Rocim). Versos | Poems by Amália Rodrigues reveals a lesser-known facet of the artist: that of a poet deeply rooted in popular lyrical tradition and attuned to great Portuguese poetry. Her writing spans a vast emotional territory—from ingenious, humorous wordplay to idealized evocations of rural traditions, and intimate expressions of existential unease and confrontation with human finitude.
This bilingual edition (PT/EN), published by Dilúvio, gathers all of Amália’s previously disclosed poems, now presented for the first time in Jamie Rising’s English translation. It also features original illustrations by André Carrilho and a new introductory critical study by Professor Rui Vieira Nery, contextualizing Amália’s literary dimension and the unique place of her poetry in Portuguese culture.
